The Story of Tyra's Stuga
Tyra's Stuga is named after great Aunt Tyra who once lived in the house. Tyra's father and mother built the cottage to live in when their son Erik got married and took over the farm. Unfortunately, Tyra's parents died before the cottage was completed. Tyra grew up on the farm with her brother Erik. During her life, she worked as a housekeeper on other farms in Småland. When it was time to enjoy old age, she returned to her beloved Sällehägnad, as the farm is actually called. The little cottage on the farm came to suit Tyra well, here she could bake her "vanilla dream" cookies, jagcakes and cinnamon buns in the wood-burning stove. The original stove is to this day a part of the house.
